Description Part time position - 30-32 hours per week - Will include weekends. Location: Artesian Valley Health System - Dietary Department Type: Part time - 30-32 hours per week. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our culinary team, keep our kitchen immaculate, and bring a little extra warmth to our residents' and patients' days. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) • Serve with Accuracy: Prepare meals and food trays exactly as directed. • Keep it Spotless: Wash dishes, maintain equipment in good working order, and keep the dietary department sanitary and clean. • Own the Standards: Implement strict work, sanitation, and safety standards consistent with institutional rules and local, state, and federal regulations. • Be Reliable & Professional: Meet attendance/punctuality guidelines, attend required meetings, and complete mandatory education. • Show Team Spirit: Work cooperatively under the direction of the Dietary Manager or Administrator, performing any assigned tasks with a helpful attitude. Requirements What You Bring (Qualifications) • The Basics: Must be able to receive written/oral instructions, follow recipes, and adhere to specific therapeutic diets. • The Experience: Some kitchen experience is essential (preferably under qualified supervision), along with knowledge of surface and equipment sanitation. • The Mindset: High personal integrity, flexibility, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively with residents, staff, and support agencies. • Education: High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. • Communication & Care: Strong communication skills and a commitment to treating customers, coworkers, and residents with respect, while maintaining strict patient and system confidentiality. Shift Expectations • Flexibility is Key: Because our patients need great food every day, this role requires working weekends and holidays, and being assigned to shifts as needed.
