Energy Exemplar, a SaaS company in the energy modeling and simulation sector, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance development and operational processes. You will drive automation, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on Azure infrastructure. What You'll Do • Design, provision, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Bicep and Terraform with modular, parameterized, environment-aware configurations • Manage AKS clusters including node pools, upgrades, RBAC, network policies, CNI, ingress controllers, HPA, and pod security standards • Author and maintain multi-stage Azure Pipelines with YAML, reusable templates, variable groups, environments, and approval gates • Write PowerShell automation scripts for provisioning, release rollout, and environment management • Triage and remediate CVEs, track and close VAPT findings, and apply pod security standards and least-privilege RBAC across Kubernetes namespaces • Build and maintain KQL-based alerts, dashboards, and workbooks in Log Analytics; manage Prometheus and Grafana stacks for Kubernetes observability • Author optimized multi-stage Dockerfiles and manage image lifecycle in ACR with tagging strategies, retention policies, and geo-replication What You Need • 2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering • Strong proficiency with Azure services including AKS, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Key Vault, ACR, Monitor, and Log Analytics • Kubernetes expertise including workload deployment, RBAC, network policies, ingress, HPA, pod security, and troubleshooting • Docker experience with multi-stage builds, image optimization, and registry management • Proficiency with Bicep and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code with modular, parameterized configurations and ARM template comprehension • Advanced PowerShell skills for release automation and provisioning scripts (non-negotiable); Bash scripting for Linux containers • Security expertise in container image scanning (Trivy, Veracode, Defender), CVE triage and remediation, and VAPT awareness • Experience with secrets management using Azure Key Vault and Managed Identity • Observability skills including KQL, Log Analytics alerts, Prometheus, Grafana, and Application Insights • Networking knowledge including VNets, NSGs, private endpoints, AKS CNI models, and TLS/cert-manager • Agile and Azure DevOps experience including sprint ceremonies, Boards, and runbook authoring • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline Nice to Have • MLOps experience including vLLM deployment on Azure ML, LoRA adapter management, and LiteLLM proxy configuration • Familiarity with AI/ML model gateway patterns including OpenAI-compatible APIs and model routing
