Description
DRW is a diversified trading firm seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to join their mission-critical team. In this role, you will provide end-to-end service ownership, development work on strategic projects, and dedicated support to internal engineering teams, focusing on build systems, observability, and developer workflows.
What You'll Do
• Collaborate with leaders, trading teams, and developers to act as a force multiplier across the engineering organization
• Own and maintain developer platforms including source control, build artifact repositories, AI-powered development tools, and software delivery infrastructure
• Participate in scheduled support rotations during UK business hours to help internal engineering teams optimize developer platforms and diagnose complex CI workflows
• Improve service reliability, performance, and observability of firm-wide critical infrastructure using hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
• Educate users on developer tools, conduct end-user demonstrations, and maintain high-quality self-service documentation
What You Need
• Experience debugging and triaging complex systems
• Experience with configuration management tooling such as Terraform to manage infrastructure in a repeatable manner
• Experience managing highly available Linux systems in both on-premises and cloud environments
• Experience supporting containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, FluxCD, ArgoCD, and Helm
• 3-5 years of development experience and proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Go, Python, or Java
• Strong relationship building and communication skills with the drive to positively influence the organization's software delivery lifecycle
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
