CMG builds public understanding and trust in GovTech’s work, supports adoption of digital government services, and strengthens GovTech’s reputation as a leading applied technology organisation in Singapore and internationally.   We are looking for a Deputy Director to join CMG’s leadership team. Working closely with the Director, CMG, the Deputy Director will lead teams across CMG, guide team leads, drive the group’s strategic priorities, strengthen operating discipline, and ensure high-quality communications support across GovTech.   This leadership role requires strong communications judgement, people leadership and the ability to work across complex and sensitive issues. The Deputy Director will partner senior management, product and engineering teams, policy stakeholders, parent ministry colleagues and external partners to shape clear, credible and effective communications for GovTech’s work. [What you will be working on]   You will lead teams within CMG and guide team leads across strategic communications, product communications, media relations, digital and social media, marketing communications, internal communications and issues management. Your key responsibilities include: Lead team leads and managers to develop integrated communications and marketing strategies for key GovTech products, platforms and services. Provide strategic communications counsel to senior management, division heads and project teams on positioning, messaging, stakeholder engagement and public communications risks. Guide teams in the planning and execution of media, digital, social, content, creative, events and outreach efforts to support product adoption, public awareness and corporate reputation. Co-lead issues management and crisis communications for incidents involving GovTech, including the development of holding lines, media replies, stakeholder messages and communications plans. Strengthen GovTech’s media engagement strategy, including relationships with local and international media, industry commentators, advocates and relevant opinion leaders. Work with the parent ministry and Smart Nation partners to align GovTech’s communications with broader national digital government and Smart Nation priorities. Support internal communications, including leadership messaging, organisational announcements and staff engagement on key GovTech priorities. Build team capability by coaching communications professionals, setting quality standards, improving operating processes and ensuring strong execution across multiple portfolios. Serve as senior communications lead for selected strategic portfolios, including GovTech’s cybersecurity-related communications and branding needs.
