Salary: £22,049 (per year) / (£11.46 per hour) pro rata.
Hyde Park Picturehouse is looking for a Deputy Cinema Operations Manager.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Deputy Cinema Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of all audience facing activity at the cinema, creating an environment where staff and volunteers feel trusted, empowered, engaged and audiences feel welcome.
Their principal role is to support the Cinema Operations & Programme Manager by managing the small team of Venue Coordinators, Services Coordinators and Venue Volunteers, to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the cinema. They will also be responsible for the administration of the box office, customer service, and other financial, logistical, supply and kiosk processes, whilst working cohesively with other teams across both the cinema and the wider Charity.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
• To support the Cinema Operations & Programme Manager with the cinema’s audience facing activities, as a manager of the Venue Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator and Venue Volunteer teams.
• Support the Facilities Coordinators including through the supervision and monitoring of supplies and assisting with tasks to always maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cinema.
• To ensure the Operations team are the primary point of contact for audiences, ensuring that the highest standards of customer care are always maintained including dealing with customer comments, questions and complaints.
• To ensure the smooth opening, closing and day-to-day operation of the cinema.
• To deliver a successful Front of House offer including ensuring excellent customer service, managing the Box Office software, supervising stock delivery, stock control and sales, evaluating daily reports to facilitate our business (sales) targets.
• Provide general finance administration including cash handling procedures, banking and invoice processing.
• To be familiar with our organisation’s policies and procedures, especially those relating to Health and Safety, and support the venues management team to ensure that the cinema is safe for both staff and customers.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
• Positions Available : One part time (20 hours per week) position available.
• Contract type : Part time permanent employment contract.
• Salary : £22,049 (per year) / (£11.46 per hour) pro rata.
• Holiday Entitlement : 20 days + bank holidays if full time / allocated proportionally part time.
