Flink Robotics, a VC-backed startup spinoff from ETH Zurich's Computational Robotics Lab, is building autonomous robots for material handling tasks. This Deployment Engineer Intern role involves hands-on field support, commissioning complex robotic systems at customer sites, and collaborating with teams to ensure smooth installations and continuous improvement. What You'll Do • Support assembly, configuration, and testing of robots in the lab and on customer sites • Plan and execute on-site installations to ensure smooth customer handover • Tune perception and motion modules in production environments • Train operators and provide hands-on support during ramp-up phases while gathering product roadmap insights • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site • Represent Flink at customer demonstrations, pilots, and trade shows; feed field data back to the engineering team What You Need • Degree in progress or completed in mechatronics, mechanical engineering (design/manufacturing focus), or electrical/electronics engineering • First-hand experience commissioning complex electromechanical or robotic systems in the field • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills with experience across technical and operational stakeholder levels • Fluent English; ability to travel 50–100% to customer sites and adapt to fast-changing shop floor environments • Passion for robotics across mechanics, electronics, computer vision, and control systems Nice to Have • Prior robot deployments or personal/academic robotics projects • CAD exposure (SolidWorks, Inventor, or Fusion 360) and basic GD&T knowledge • Familiarity with Linux • Additional languages • Valid driver's license Competitive salary and top-tier gear
