What You’ll Do You’ll manage, organize, and optimize operations at the CNC turning center. In doing so, you’ll lead and motivate your team, ensure high efficiency of the machine park, meet the automotive industry’s production targets, and minimize downtime. Leadership, Motivation, and Team Development • You will lead, motivate, and coordinate the work of the CNC lathe operators and set-up technicians. • You plan the shifts and ensure optimal machine utilization in accordance with current production orders. • You evaluate the team’s performance and help determine performance-based compensation. • You will train new colleagues and help them become familiar with the center’s specific processes. Achieving Production Targets and Machine Efficiency • You will monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (OEE, production plan fulfillment, scrap rate). • You ensure maximum utilization of the CNC lathes and minimize setup and changeover times. • You resolve technical and personnel-related disruptions in production and ensure smooth operations. • You will report regularly to company management on results, productivity, and capacity utilization. Technology, Quality, and Maintenance • You will monitor compliance with machining processes and the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard. • You collaborate with technicians and the quality department on the implementation of new projects and the optimization of production processes. • You coordinate preventive maintenance of CNC machines (TPM) to prevent malfunctions and unplanned downtime. • You oversee the handling of cutting tools, measuring instruments, and coolants. • You ensure compliance with 5S standards, occupational safety regulations, and workplace cleanliness. What You Bring to the Table • You have graduated from a technical college or university, ideally with a degree in mechanical engineering. • You have at least 3 years of professional experience in a leadership role in the field of machining or CNC technologies. • You are familiar with the processes of high-volume production in the automotive industry and are well-versed in quality management systems. • You have a strong technical understanding, particularly of technical documentation, the principles of turning, cutting tools, and materials. • You inspire confidence through your natural authority, motivate people, and think analytically.
