General Summary: The Mobile Dentist delivers diagnostic, preventive, restorative and surgical dental care services to eligible patients. The successful candidate must possess skills to manage daily clinical operations including delegation of duties to the auxiliary dental team members. Duties & Responsibilities: • Provides quality dental services with skill, care and good judgment • Documents patient treatment and related correspondence in electronic dental chart • Establish a treatment plan of care for patients of record • Participates in appointment scheduling, patient referrals and communicates dental treatment information to patients, parents and clinical staff • Provides direct supervision to dental hygienists and dental assistants in accordance with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners rules and regulations • Oversees auxiliary dental staff in preventive maintenance tasks; infection control and sterilization procedures • Ensures adequate clinical supply levels are maintained in accordance with clinical needs; provides oversight of monthly supply ordering providing final approval before submission to clinical coordinator • Ensures timely completion and accuracy of monthly service data reports; performs chart audits to ensure accuracy of Dentrix ledger Minimum Requirements: • Active Texas Dental License, Drug Enforcement Registration, Valid Driver's License, BLS Certification. Work Environment: • This position is part of the Mobile Dental Team, which requires travel to multiple community locations within Harris County, as directed. • Applicants must be flexible and willing to work at various locations. Physical Requirements: • This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
