Description
The Operations Leader drives the practice's daily performance, team culture, and financial results. This role leads the support team, holds the practice accountable to its production, collections, and growth goals, and ensures every patient has an outstanding experience. The ideal candidate leads with accountability, communicates proactively with the doctor and team, and takes full ownership of the practice's success — running it with confidence, even when the doctor isn't in the building.
LEADERSHIP & TEAM DEVELOPMENT
• Sets clear expectations and holds the team accountable, building a positive, high-performing culture.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and develops team members — building future leaders within the practice.
• Coaches through performance conversations and resolves conflict directly and professionally.
• Leads daily team huddles and keeps the doctor and team aligned through clear, proactive communication.
• Takes full ownership of practice outcomes and follows through reliably, with minimal oversight.
DRIVING RESULTS: FINANCIAL & GROWTH
• Owns production and collections goals, tracking performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
• Drives measurable revenue growth (target: 20%+ year-over-year) through schedule optimization and treatment acceptance.
• Manages accounts receivable, insurance processes, and collections to protect practice profitability.
• Monitors key financial and operational KPIs, spotting trends and fixing problem areas before they escalate.
• Champions treatment acceptance and patient retention initiatives that fuel sustainable growth.
DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS
• Manages the office schedule and patient flow to maximize provider capacity without sacrificing patient experience.
• Oversees front-office systems — scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and financial arrangements.
• Creates an outstanding patient experience and resolves concerns quickly, before they become bigger issues.
• Maintains compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice protocols; keeps accurate records and reporting.
• Serves as the point person for daily office management, staffing coverage, and time-off coordination.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• The practice runs smoothly on its own — the team leads independently, even when the doctor is away.
• Production, collections, and growth targets are consistently hit or exceeded.
• Patient satisfaction stays at 90%+, with fast, effective service recovery when issues arise.
• Problems are caught and solved early, with sound judgment and minimal need for escalation.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years in a leadership or management role, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting.
• Proven track record managing budgets, production/collections goals, and team performance.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures, insurance, and practice management software (e.g., Open Dental).
• Strong communicator who stays calm under pressure, solves problems independently, and leads by example.

• Competitive base pay plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
• Training, mentorship, and a clear path for professional growth.
• A high-performing, positive team culture — a team of A Players.
• A modern office equipped with the latest technology and digital radiography.
