Key Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Care: Conducts oral examinations, scaling, root planing, and removes plaque and calculus deposits. Takes dental X-rays and applies topical preventive agents (like fluoride and sealants). Chairside Assistance: Assists the facility dentist during routine restorative, surgical, and emergency dental procedures. Prepares instrument trays and mixes dental materials Patient Education: Instructs inmates (individually or in groups) on proper oral hygiene techniques, brushing, flossing, and nutrition Clinic Administration: Maintains dental records, monitors supply inventory, and ensures all OSHA and infection control standards are met High School diploma or its equivalent All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
