Dental Assistant / EFDA – Pittsburgh, PA | Downtown Private Practice Our established private dental practice in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our team! Our office performs a wide variety of procedures including general dentistry, implant surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and root canals. Schedule Full-Time • Monday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM • Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM • Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM • Thursday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM • Every Other Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Pay & Compensation • $26–$31 per hour, depending on experience • Paid parking or transportation assistance • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Dental benefits • 401(k) with up to a 4% match • PTO after 90 days • Sick time • Continuing education and growth opportunities Duties & Responsibilities • Assist chairside during a wide range of dental procedures • Take dental X-rays and assist with patient charting • Prepare and break down treatment rooms • Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA/infection control standards • Support implant, cosmetic, and endodontic procedures • Help maintain smooth clinical flow throughout the day • Educate patients and provide excellent patient care • Work closely with the clinical team to support overall office success Requirements • Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience required • X-ray certification required • EFDA license preferred but not required • Dentrix experience preferred • Strong communication and organizational skills • Positive, team-oriented attitude • Passion for patient care and continuing to improve clinical skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and truly cares about patients.
