A main civils contractor who has various ongoing projects across the island of Ireland are seeking a Construction Foreman to join their team based in Headquarters situated in North Dublin. With Divisions in plant hire, civils, rail, and demolition & construction, they are looking to add a Construction Foreman to their team, for their next period of company growth.
Position Overview
The Long Reach Demolition Excavator Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating long reach excavators on demolition projects. This role ensures controlled dismantling of structures, adherence to site safety procedures, and collaboration with site management to deliver projects on time and within compliance standards.
Full job description
• O perate long reach demolition excavators to safely dismantle buildings and structures in line with project plans.
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine maintenance, and report any mechanical issues to site management.
• Follow method statements, risk assessments, and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
• Work closely with demolition supervisors and ground crew to ensure controlled, safe operations.
• Segregate, move, and load demolition waste materials for recycling and disposal.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine usage, inspections, and work completed.
• Identify potential hazards and immediately escalate safety concerns.
• Assist in general site duties when required to support project delivery.
• Qualifications & Experience
• Valid Tickets / Certifications
• Proven experience operating long reach demolition excavators on live demolition sites.
• Good knowledge of demolition techniques, material handling, and site safety.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team under site supervision.
• Flexibility to work across multiple projects and locations.
