Developing and operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage has evolved data center design in innovative ways to deliver dramatic gains in reliability, efficiency and sustainability in flexible environments that can scale as quickly as the market demands. • Position Description As   a Delivery   Director , EMEA   you   will be accountable   for the delivery of al l   aspects of construction   on our Data Centre projects .   Y ou will   be responsible for   managing   either a single large Data   centre or   multiple   smaller buildings on   or   across a campus   through a team of project /construction , commercial and design managers. Your key   objective   is   ensuring all projects   that you   are responsible for   are   delivered   safely, to a high standard of quality,   on time, within budget and   in alignment with strategic corporate   objectives . Collaboration and integration in the sales ,   design   and development   lifecycle process ,   including client interface is integral to the role.   This will include   expertise   including designing to cost, schedule and offsite   construction   methodology   to ensure   an    optimized   construction delivery   solution . Essential Job Functions • Drive a strong EHS philosophy and implement programs designed to effectively drive an embedded safety culture and behaviours and prevent injury on construction sites • Provide advice and   input   throughout the lifecycle of the development from site   selection   through design and development to delivery on site with regards to cost,   schedule   and constructability . • De liver and oversee the   management of the overall construction program to ensure that projects are delivered the   consistentl y   and predictably   every   time,   i mprov ing   efficiency and   reduc ing   cycle time and cost   wherever possible . • Accountable for all aspects of construction including pre-construction, team   selection , construction, commissioning, and project closeout as set out in the overall Project Programme, working collaboratively with peers to deliver for our customers • Work closely with Operations to coordinate design criteria and construction with ongoing maintenance and operation of existing facilities   to ensure the   optimum   return on investment. • Create and manage the RFP process for capital projects and customer builds • Drive day to day construction decisions to conclusion • Vendor/Contractor management including qualification and relationship building   and   maintenance • Own the resource allocation and project workflow for direct reports and third-party contingent workforce • Accountable to manage overall construction CAPEX budgets • Partner with   the   Cost and Com m ercial team, Planning team and   Director of Construction Cost   and   Finance to produce monthly project forecasts including variance analyses as well as execution of master service agreements (MSA) and project authorizations for new and existing contractors and vendors • Establish project budgets and   submit   approval packages to executive team .    Hold the project team accountable to create ,   monitor   and manage project budgets   and monthly billing • Develop   c omprehensive QA/QC program that prevents problems from occurring ;   identifies   risks early in the project life cycle ;   and ensures all data centr e   spaces   comply with   all applicable requirements   (BOD, specifications, code, lease, etc.) • Lead   by example to ensure that the project team drives coordination and integration of internal stakeholders within the project • Ensure project team   complies with   VDC project turnover documentation requirements to operations Key Requirements: • Based in or around Frankfurt, with deep local knowledge of the region • Strong existing network within local government authorities, utility providers, and permitting bodies • 8+ years of experience in construction delivery, preferably in the data center or critical infrastructure sector • Proven track record of driving permitting, compliance, and site coordination for complex construction projects • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with external stakeholders • High level of accountability, initiative, and precision in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
