Description
We are seeking a skilled Deburring & Marking Technician to perform deburring, surface finishing, and part marking activities on machined and fabricated components. The successful candidate will ensure components meet quality standards by removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections while accurately marking parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform deburring, edge breaking, and surface finishing of machined and fabricated components using hand and power tools. Remove burrs, sharp edges, excess material, and surface defects without affecting dimensional accuracy. Mark components using approved methods such as stamping, engraving, vibro-etching, or laser marking as per engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and marking requirements. Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines is an advantage. Experience Minimum 2–5 years of experience in deburring and marking of machined or fabricated components in a manufacturing, fabrication, oil & gas, or heavy engineering environment. Skills & Competencies Experience using deburring tools, grinders, files, rotary tools, and polishing equipment. Knowledge of part marking methods such as stamping, engraving, vibro-etching, or laser marking. Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as vernier calipers and micrometers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping practices.
