Dakota Dental 4 Kids is excited to be opening a brand new location in Sioux Falls! We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dental team. The RDA will support the dentist during clinical procedures, help ensure excellent patient care, and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment. The ideal candidate is professional, team-oriented, and committed to creating a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures • Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment using four-handed dentistry techniques • Take dental radiographs/X-rays in accordance with state regulations • Perform coronal polishing, sealants, fluoride treatments, and other expanded duties as permitted by state law • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards • Record treatment notes and update patient charts accurately • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dentistry • Monitor patient comfort before, during, and after procedures • Maintain inventory and organize dental supplies • Support scheduling, patient communication, and other administrative tasks as needed Qualifications • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license/certification required • High school diploma or GED required • CPR/BLS certification required • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment • Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging systems preferred Preferred Qualifications • Experience in pediatric dentistry, surgery, or general dentistry preferred • Bilingual skills are a plus • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and paperless charting systems Skills & Competencies • Excellent chairside assisting skills • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Professional and positive attitude • Dependable and punctual • Ability to work collaboratively within a team • Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and move throughout the workday • Manual dexterity for handling instruments and equipment • Ability to lift and move supplies up to 25 pounds Benefits • Competitive pay based on experience • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off and holidays • Retirement plan options • Continuing education opportunities • Uniform provided Schedule • Full-time / Part-time • Monday–Friday
