About the Role The  Agile Data Product Owner – Clinical  is responsible for the  end ‑ to ‑ end ownership of data products  supporting Health Services across International Health (IH). This role applies Agile Product Ownership practices to data and analytics, ensuring data is treated as a managed product that delivers trusted, actionable insights for business, operational, analytical, and AI use cases. The Agile Data Product Owner partners closely with Agile Data Product Managers, who define product strategy, objectives, and roadmaps, and with data engineering, analytics, and platform teams responsible for delivery. The Product Owner translates business needs into a prioritized data backlog, ensuring data is ready for consumption across local and central D&A teams for exploration, analysis, reporting, and AI enablement. Critical Data Element (CDE) Accountability: This role holds  direct accountability for the identification, stewardship, and lifecycle management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs)  within the Provider Health Services domain. The Agile Data Product Owner owns CDEs from  cradle to grave , ensuring they are clearly defined, documented, governed, monitored for quality, fit for purpose, and appropriately retired. Through close collaboration with business data owners, data governance, and technical teams, this role ensures CDEs form the foundation of  trusted reporting, Trusted Data Sets (TDS), and AI ‑ ready data products . Over time, the scope of this role may evolve to include  AI product ownership responsibilities , ensuring consistent product ownership practices across data and AI initiatives within Health Services. Key Responsibilities Data Product Ownership • Own and manage data products supporting  Health Services , ensuring alignment to business objectives and analytical needs. • Translate business requirements into  clear, prioritized backlog items  aligned with Product Manager‑defined roadmaps. • Ensure data products support secure, governed access to data for exploration, analysis, reporting, and insight generation. Backlog & Agile Delivery • Maintain and prioritize the  data ‑ related backlog  for delivery teams using Agile practices. • Participate in and support agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, speed, and value realization. Critical Data Elements (CDE) Ownership • Identify, steward, and manage  Critical Data Elements (CDEs)  within the Provider Health Services domain. • Own CDEs  end ‑ to ‑ end , including definition, documentation, lineage, quality standards, monitoring, usage, and retirement. • Partner with business data owners, data governance, and technical teams to review and update CDEs regularly and resolve data quality issues. • Ensure CDEs are embedded within data products and serve as the backbone for trusted analytics, reporting, TDS, and AI use cases. Stakeholder Engagement • Act as the primary liaison between  business stakeholders, data governance, and technical delivery teams . • Communicate data product progress, dependencies, risks, and value delivered. • Ensure stakeholder needs are understood, prioritized, and reflected in data product delivery. Data Governance, Quality & Architecture • Embed  data governance, privacy, and quality requirements  into all data products. • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and Architecture teams to ensure scalable, resilient data solutions. • Support adoption of enterprise standards for data cataloging, quality monitoring, and lineage. Success Metrics • Delivery of high‑impact data products aligned to Health Services priorities. • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of data products. • Improved data quality and governance adherence for Critical Data Elements. • Timely and reliable availability of trusted data for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases. Key Qualifications & Skills • Strong understanding of  data management, analytics, reporting platforms, and AI concepts . • Experience working in  Agile environments , including backlog management and tools such as Jira. • Ability to translate business needs into  clear data product requirements . • Knowledge of  data governance, privacy, and data quality principles , including CDE concepts. • Experience with data exploration, analysis, and visualization tools. • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. • Proven problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities. • Experience supporting or participating in training related to data fluency, Agile product management, or GenAI is a plus.
