Description
Optimiza is seeking a dedicated and strategic Data Governance Officer to oversee our data governance practices and ensure that data across the organization is managed as a valuable asset. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, defining data stewardship roles, and fostering a culture of data accountability throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities to ensure accountability for data quality and integrity across all departments. Conduct regular assessments of data management practices, identifying gaps and recommending improvements to enhance data governance. Collaborate with business units to define data classification, ownership, and usage guidelines. Implement data quality metrics and monitoring processes to assess data quality and compliance with governance standards. Provide training and awareness programs on data governance best practices for staff at all levels. Serve as a point of contact for data governance issues and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to address data-related challenges. Stay updated on industry trends in data governance, privacy regulations, and data management technologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus. 2+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field. In-depth understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices, as well as regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Strong analytical skills with a focus on data quality and integrity. Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders. Experience in change management and fostering a culture of accountability around data. Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA-DMBOK) are a plus. Benefits Class A Health Insurance
