Joining our forward-thinking Group Performance Analytics department, you’ll work in a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team alongside engineers, analysts, and business specialists to empower a wide range of stakeholders—including Bankers, Regional Directors, Business Controllers, Risk Managers, and senior leadership teams. In this role, you will focus on either: • Commercial Intelligence: working with commercial data to help improve the sales effectiveness of the Private Bankers • Finance & Risk Intelligence: working with financial and risk data to support the Finance, Risk, and Control teams in providing accurate management information to help steer the bank. Working with advanced technologies from companies like Databricks and Microsoft, you’ll design and optimise data pipelines and reporting solutions that make a tangible impact on our commercial processes. You’ll be encouraged to experiment with the latest tools, share your ideas, and help drive innovation across our platforms. A keen focus on visualisation—especially using Power BI—means your work will directly enable smarter decisions organisation-wide. You have the following responsibilities: • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Databricks DLT and workflows. • Harness the full power of Power BI to translate data into clear, actionable dashboards and reports used across the organisation. • Transform commercial data into meaningful insights and compelling visualisations. • Partner with business stakeholders, data providers, and platform teams to optimise data-driven products. • Present and advocate for robust, data-driven solutions to decision-makers. • Stay at the forefront of data trends, continuously exploring new tools and technologies. You also: • have a master’s degree in a relevant field. • have more than 2 years’ hands-on experience in data modelling, ETL development, and dashboard/report creation. • have strong expertise in Power BI for building intuitive dashboards, data models, and impactful visualisations. have affinity with Private Banking and investment products. • have a strong understanding of cloud technologies (serverless, scalable solutions) and are proficiency in Python, Databricks, T-SQL, and Microsoft Azure. • are analytical and solutions-oriented. • have knowledge of different AI technologies, frameworks and libraries • have good mastery of English, both oral and written. Having one (or more) of the following certifications is a plus: • Databricks certifications for data engineer • Power BI (PL-300) • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) • Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) • Azure Data Science Associate (DP-100) • T-SQL (DP-080, Advanced) • Professional Scrum Master (PSM1) Move ahead at Van Lanschot Kempen Investing in a more future-oriented, sustainable, and data-driven way with various clients. It consists of two agile DevOps teams—Commercial Insights and Financial & Risk Insights—each responsible for the full data lifecycle from ingestion to reporting. GPA transforms complex data into actionable insights using cutting-edge technologies like PowerBI, Databricks, and Azure, and supports strategic decision-making across CFO, CRO, and CMO domains. As a Data Engineer, you will also be given: • A gross monthly salary between €3,700 and €5,500, compatible with your knowledge and experience. • Additional flexible budget of 19.47% of your gross salary (containing a 13th month, 8% holiday allowance & 7 extra legal leave days). It’s also possible to get the full budget paid out at any moment in the year. • 27 leave days of which 7 are part of the flexible budget. • Your commute to work is compensated, including green options of walking and biking to work! a market competitive pension scheme.
