University of California, Irvine is hiring a Data Engineer 4 to support its Enterprise Data and Analytics department. The role involves implementing and maintaining data infrastructure and tools to manage the flow and quality of data from multiple sources, including cloud migration and expanding data platforms for reporting and analytics. Highlights • Implement and maintain data infrastructure and analytical environments. • Support data configuration, movement, transformation, and quality across multiple source systems. • Lead infrastructure migration to cloud platforms and develop advanced analytics capabilities. • Required skills: 3+ years with SQL/NoSQL databases and data warehousing, 3+ years with ETL or BI tools, 2+ years creating data pipelines with Python, and 2+ years as a Data Engineer. • Preferred experience includes data governance and catalog platforms, pipeline orchestration tools, CI/CD, cloud technologies like Azure, Databricks, AWS, and agile team work. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain effective relationships across UCI Health and related entities. • Compensation range: $111,300 to $211,100 per year. • Work involves handling sensitive information in compliance with data protection policies. • Customer base includes UCI Health’s extensive network of hospitals and ambulatory care centers serving multiple counties.
