The Opportunity This Design Manager position will see you leading multidisciplinary teams across large-scale colocation and hyperscale data center programs. You will play a pivotal role in delivering projects from site selection and due diligence through campus planning, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration. As a Design Manager , you will work closely with stakeholders, consultants, and technical specialists to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. What You Will Be Doing • Lead hyperscale and colocation data center projects from feasibility through construction. • Manage multidisciplinary design teams covering architecture, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, ICT, and controls. • Develop and implement project and program management plans across multiple sites. • Act as the key point of contact for client stakeholders and project teams. • Drive project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and delivery milestones. • Manage design changes and communicate impacts to all stakeholders. • Identify risks early and implement practical solutions. • Facilitate design workshops, coordination meetings, and project reviews. • Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals. • Build and maintain strong relationships with hyperscale and mission-critical clients. What You Will Need • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of experience in data center design, engineering, or project management. • Proven experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data center projects. • Strong understanding of mission-critical facilities and building systems. • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced project environments. Highly Desirable • Master's Degree in a relevant subject. • Professional Engineer (PE) licence or Registered Architect qualification. • 12+ years of design and project leadership experience. • Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional (ATP). • Lean Six Sigma certification. • Active participation in the data center or mission-critical industry. • Strong presentation and executive stakeholder engagement experience.
