Main Responsibilities:
• Advising scientists on georeferenced research data
• Support for the visualization of data
• Support for the expansion of digital offers in the map collection
• Support of new offers / services in the field of Geospatial Data
• Support for 3D digitization
• Collaboration with the eResearch Alliance Göttingen team
• Participation in the conception and implementation of third-party funded projects
• Interface function to faculties by providing interdisciplinary expertise
• Cooperation and participation in research projects of the faculties and comprehensive research networks
Skills & Qualifications:
• completed academic studies (master or diploma), e.g. Geoinformatics or Geomatics or equivalent qualification
• Good understanding of diverse scientific issues and interoperability of metadata
• Safe English language skills
• Very good knowledge in the area of semantic web, RDF, XML data modeling, as well as current web standards and interfaces for data extraction
• Strong service orientation
