Job Overview Mercier Consultancy Group is currently recruiting for a Danish Speaking Digital Trust and Safety Analyst to join a leading global social media platform, based on-site in Sofia, Bulgaria. Key Responsibilities Review, assess, and action user-generated content reported on the social media platform, ensuring it aligns with community guidelines, platform policies, and Danish regulatory standards. Identify, investigate, and escalate harmful, abusive, or policy-violating content submitted by Danish-speaking users, applying sound judgement and defined trust and safety frameworks. Monitor social media trends, emerging threats, and coordinated inauthentic behaviours within the Danish-language digital ecosystem to proactively mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross-functional global teams including legal, policy, and product departments to refine content moderation workflows and improve platform safety outcomes. Deliver accurate and timely decisions on content appeals and escalations from Danish-speaking users, upholding fairness, consistency, and transparency in every case. Maintain detailed records of reviewed cases, document decision rationale, and contribute to quality assurance audits to ensure continuous improvement across the trust and safety function. Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with evolving social media policies, cultural nuances within Danish-speaking communities, and best practices in digital trust and safety. Support the development and localization of safety resources and user communications tailored to Danish-speaking audiences across the platform. Requirements Native or fluent Danish language proficiency (spoken and written) is essential — this role requires precise comprehension and evaluation of Danish-language content across social media platforms. Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement). Strong command of English for internal communication, reporting, and collaboration with international teams. Prior experience in content moderation, trust and safety, customer support, or a related field within the social media or digital technology industry is highly advantageous. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make well-reasoned, policy-compliant decisions under pressure and within defined timeframes. High level of cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in relation to Danish-speaking communities and online behavioural norms within social media environments. Demonstrated resilience and emotional maturity when working with potentially sensitive, disturbing, or graphic content as part of a trust and safety function.
