A long term live in Nanny Housekeeper role supporting a private family in Norway, combining childcare support for a young child alongside household organisation and day to day housekeeping duties within a warm and fully supported home environment Job Summary: This is a structured and long term role suited to an experienced Nanny Housekeeper seeking stability, professionalism, and a respectful family environment. The family are looking for someone warm, organised, and proactive who can confidently support both the smooth running of the household and childcare when required. A welcoming private family based in Norway are seeking an experienced live in Nanny Housekeeper to join their home on a long term basis. This is the family’s first time employing a permanent nanny, and they are looking for someone who can naturally integrate into family life while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The family currently have support with childcare and are now looking for someone who can oversee the day to day running and organisation of the home while also assisting with childcare as needed. The role will involve a mixture of shared care and occasional sole charge support for their 1 year old child. This position would suit someone highly organised, calm, and confident managing household duties independently while remaining flexible to support the family where needed. Job specification: Supporting with childcare for one young child when required Assisting with age-appropriate activities and developmental support Helping maintain routines including meals, naps, and playtime Keeping the home neat, tidy, and well organized Laundry and ironing for the household Organising wardrobes, children’s belongings, and household areas Tidying communal spaces and maintaining household order Preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks when required Assisting with errands and general household support Supporting with the care of two small, friendly dogs Maintaining open and professional communication with the family Candidate specification: Proven experience as a Nanny Housekeeper or within private households Confident supporting toddlers and early years development Strong housekeeping and household organisation skills Proactive, organised, and able to work independently Warm, calm, and professional approach Comfortable working collaboratively with parents Comfortable around dogs Driving licence required EU passport essential Excellent previous references Accommodation: The nanny will have access to a private apartment within the family’s home, offering personal space and comfort in a peaceful setting.
