Job Overview Mercier Consultancy Group is currently recruiting for an exciting Czech Speaking Content Moderator position in Bulgaria, on behalf of a leading global social media platform dedicated to fostering safe, inclusive, and engaging online communities. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for reviewing, assessing, and moderating user-generated content in Czech, ensuring that all material complies with the platform's community guidelines and content policies. Key Responsibilities Review and moderate Czech-language user-generated content — including text, images, videos, and comments — across social media platforms to ensure compliance with community standards and content policies. Identify, escalate, and action content that violates platform guidelines, including but not limited to hate speech, misinformation, graphic imagery, harassment, and spam. Accurately categorise and document content decisions within internal moderation tools and case management systems, maintaining high levels of consistency and quality. Provide timely responses and resolutions to content-related user appeals and feedback submitted in the Czech language. Collaborate closely with Trust & Safety teams and senior moderators to align on evolving content policies and platform updates within the social media environment. Stay continuously informed about emerging trends, viral content patterns, and cultural nuances within Czech-speaking online communities to make well-informed moderation decisions. Contribute to regular team calibration sessions and quality assurance reviews, helping to maintain and improve overall moderation standards. Adhere strictly to data privacy regulations, confidentiality protocols, and internal compliance frameworks relevant to the social media industry. Requirements Native or fluent Czech language skills (both spoken and written) are essential for this role — all content reviewed will be in the Czech language. Valid EU passport is mandatory for relocation and employment eligibility purposes. A good working knowledge of English to communicate effectively with international team members and access training materials. Strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to make confident, consistent decisions in a fast-paced social media moderation environment. Demonstrated emotional resilience and the ability to professionally handle exposure to potentially sensitive or distressing content. Prior experience in content moderation, customer support, trust and safety, or a related field within the social media or digital industry is advantageous but not required — full training is provided. Excellent computer literacy and comfort navigating digital platforms, content management systems, and internal databases.
