Description
Accenture Federal Services seeks a Cybersecurity Incident Response Triage Analyst to join their CIRT team within the CISO organization. This role monitors, analyzes, and triages cybersecurity alerts from SIEM systems and security sensors to determine true and false positives, working closely with incident response and operations teams to investigate and resolve security incidents.
What You'll Do
• Actively monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents related to alerted policy violations
• Analyze and investigate security incidents to determine their nature and scope
• Triage alerts and notifications from SIEM, security sensors, ticketing systems, walk-ins, and phone calls
• Coordinate with incident response team leads and operations teams for effective incident resolution
• Document incidents and response activities in detail and stay updated with latest cybersecurity threats and trends
• Collaborate with operations, legal, HR, and management to investigate security issues and determine true and false positives
What You Need
• US Citizenship required
• 1–2 years of experience in information security or equivalent education/work experience
• 1 year of experience performing event and log analysis including Anti-Virus, Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, Active Directory, Web Proxies, Data Loss Prevention tools, or other security tools in large enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with network and host-based security applications including assessment/scanning tools and intrusion detection systems
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, common application layer protocols, and packet analysis
• Familiarity with static and dynamic malware analysis concepts
• Experience with indicators of attack and compromise
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux architecture and endpoint analysis
• Familiarity with basic data parsing and analysis tools such as Excel, grep, sed, awk, and regex
Nice to Have
• SANS GIAC Certifications including GCED, GCLD, GCIH, GCFA, or GREM
$57,200–$109,400 USD base pay (varies by location including California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and District of Columbia, and Cleveland). Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits.
