Description
€3000 • €3700 / Monthly rate Contract Athens | Hybrid Company is one of Greece's largest research-centered pharmaceutical companies. With a portfolio of over 100 commercialized products reaching patients in more than 90 countries, the company operates in heavily regulated environments — GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EMA, GDPR — where data integrity and system security are not optional. This role sits within the Corporate IT / IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security department and reports directly to the Head of IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security. The role You'll design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls that protect company's manufacturing systems, research environments, and clinical data from threats — while ensuring ongoing compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks. In practice this means owning endpoint security, SIEM monitoring, identity and network security, DLP, and cloud security (Azure), while also feeding into new system design and participating in BCP/DRP tests. The regulatory context makes this technically richer than a typical corporate IT security role: you'll be working across environments where data integrity standards like ALCOA+ apply. What you will bring • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role — vulnerability assessment, application security, or security systems engineering • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, IAM, and endpoint protection • Practical experience with SIEM tools — Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar • Working knowledge of Microsoft Security tools and frameworks • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks: GxP, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR • Able to perform vulnerability assessments using both manual techniques and commercial/open-source tooling (CVE, CVSS, OWASP methodology) • Comfortable writing or modifying scripts to automate vulnerability management tasks • Able to work independently and manage priorities without close supervision Nice to have • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated environments • Understanding of data integrity principles (ALCOA+) • Azure cloud security experience • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent) What's in it for you You would be part of corporate IT security that operate under FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP simultaneously — this is genuinely complex, high-stakes security work especially for Greek market. Also, the company has been recognized five times as one of the Best Workplaces in Greece (Great Place to Work) and ranked 1st among Greek companies investing in R&D. Salary range €3,000 – €3,700 Gross / Month, with private insurance. Hybrid work model (4 office-1 remote), in Athens.
