Customer Service & Internal Sales Coordinator Location: Ashington, Horsham, RH20 Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience About the Role We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and customer-focused Customer Service & Internal Sales Coordinator to join our Test & Calibration team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our office operations. You will support our customers throughout the calibration and repair process, maintaining full traceability of customer instruments while delivering outstanding customer service. Working closely with the Head of Laboratory and colleagues across the business, you will provide essential sales administration support, coordinate customer orders and help drive new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Sales Administration Prepare and issue quotations for: • In-house calibration • On-site calibration • Delivery and collection services • Repairs • Subcontract calibration work • Follow up subcontracted work with third-party suppliers. • Chase customer purchase orders for repair and calibration work. • Maintain and manage the open order backlog, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date. • Maintain customer records within our calibration management software. • Liaise with colleagues across the business, including our remote Finance team. • Support the Head of Laboratory with internal sales activities and business development initiatives. Customer Service • Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries by telephone and email. • Monitor calibration progress and proactively communicate any delays to customers. • Manage monthly calibration reminder communications and follow up where required. • Process goods received and dispatched using the company's management system. • Build strong, long-term relationships by delivering a consistently high standard of customer service. General Duties • Provide flexible support across the business as required. • Work collaboratively within a small team, assisting colleagues to ensure business objectives are achieved. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and customer service standards. Experience You will ideally have experience in: • Sales administration • Customer service • Internal sales or sales support • Working in a busy administrative environment Experience within a technical, engineering or calibration environment would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
