We are looking for an experienced WordPress Theme Developer to create a custom theme for our Work From Home Psychic Jobs self-hosted WordPress blog. This project requires a skilled developer with expertise in WordPress theme development, design aesthetics, and responsive web design. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a good sense of design, and the ability to implement functionality that enhances the user experience. Responsibilities: • Custom Theme Development : Design and develop a fully custom WordPress theme tailored to the blog’s specific branding, style, and functional requirements. • Responsive Design : Ensure the theme is fully responsive and optimized for all devices (desktop, tablet, mobile). • SEO Optimization : Implement SEO best practices within the theme, including clean code, fast loading times, and optimized HTML structure. • Customization Options : Provide easy-to-use customization options within the theme, allowing the blog owner to make adjustments (e.g., color schemes, typography, and layout) without requiring code changes. • User-Friendly Layout : Create a visually appealing, intuitive, and accessible layout that enhances readability and user engagement. • Compatibility : Ensure compatibility with essential WordPress plugins (e.g., SEO plugins, social sharing tools, etc.) and make sure the theme is compatible with the latest WordPress version. • Testing and Debugging : Conduct thorough testing and debugging across various browsers and devices to ensure a smooth user experience. • Documentation : Provide detailed documentation and instructions on theme installation, customization, and maintenance for future use. Requirements: • Proven experience in WordPress theme development with a strong portfolio of custom themes. • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. • Experience with responsive and mobile-first design. • Familiarity with WordPress coding standards and theme development best practices. • Knowledge of SEO best practices for WordPress. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with advanced WordPress features such as Custom Post Types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), and theme customization APIs. • Familiarity with design software like Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch is a plus. • Understanding of website performance optimization techniques (e.g., minification, caching).
