Description GENERAL PURPOSE: Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager of Facilities and Aquatics, the Custodian is directly responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. BENEFITS: Free Gym Membership This position pays $18.50 per hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Demonstrates, supports, and enforces park district customer service standards; exercises professional judgment and displays initiative within established policies and regulations • Ensure building is prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces • Clean up after accidents or illnesses • Maintain cleaning tools, equipment, and materials in proper condition • Wash and wipe down windows and walls • Uses a variety of cleaning equipment and materials to maintain floors • Clean and sanitize restroom facilities • Replenish disposable supplies • Collecting and taking out trash and recycling • Report to the Recreation Manager of Facilities and Aquatics an repairs and supplies needed • On occasion may be required to assist with facility grounds, including but not limited to snow removal • Assist with event set-up, tear down and maintenance when needed. • Maintain all records, reports, and checklists as requested. • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions. • Performs any additional related tasks as required. Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum Age 18. • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and agents • Ability to follow direction and work independently. • Detail orientated
