About the role:An opportunity exists for a part time (0.9FTE) pharmacist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners and doctors in providing health services to people in Police Custody. Working 68.4 hours a fortnight, with the potential for additional hours, you will be responsible for day-to-day pharmacy operations. In addition, you will provide clinical support and advice to medical staff.This position will involve regular weekday shifts from 8am-4pm and 9am to 5pm.Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.Your duties will include: Daily operational duties associated with procurement, dispensing, supply, and distribution of medicines.Clinical review of medication chartsOrganisation of pharmacotherapy dosing in custodyProviding support to the Pharmacy ManagerInventory management and medicine deliveryContribution to protocol and procedure development and reviewsLiaison with external stakeholdersContributing to audit review processes to ensure safe, timely and effective use of medicines.About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: Current registration with AHPRAA high level of clinical competencyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and adjust to complex situationsCreative problem-solving skillsOpen style of communicationThe ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team on patient managementA demonstrated ability to learn and adaptFurther Information:One (1) x part-time, (0.9FTE) ongoing position is available.The salary plus superannuation will be pro rata.This position is located at the Melbourne Custody Centre, 520 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne 3000.This position requires shift work (day shifts only) as indicated in the Position Description (as attached to the advertisement).Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.We expect our people to foster a safe and inclusive environment where their behaviour and attitude reflects, builds upon and promotes a positive and collaborative workplace that respects the culture and values of Victoria Police.Your application must include:ResumeCompleted application form - the word document (2.
