Make a difference in Imaging! As a full-time CT Technologist II at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. Summary of Essential Duties: • Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions • Administer contrast material • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment • Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images • Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading • Cleans and disinfects patient rooms • Follow infection control and safety guidelines Qualifications Education: • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program required Licensure/Certifications: • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiology certification (ARRT-R) required • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year from start date • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required • Venipuncture certification required Experience: • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist required • Applicants with less than 2 years of experience may be considered as a CT Tech I • Experience in a hospital setting required, including Emergency Department and inpatient cases • Experience with Trauma and Stroke patients required • Experience with advanced exams, including Angio of abdomen or head and neck, required Keywords: Computed Tomography, Tech, Technologist, Technician, Imaging, Radiology, ARRT, CT, Healthcare, Hospital, Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, California
