Duties:
KPI Recruiting are on the look out for a Counterbalance FLT Operator for our client based in Cheshire.
The hours and days as a Counterbalance FLT Operator are:
• Monday- Friday
• 07:00- 17:00
The rate of pay as a Counterbalance FLT Operator is:
• £13.50 p/h
The role and responsibilities as a Counterbalance FLT Operator are:
Forklift Operations:
• Material movement- transport intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), heavy steel chemical drums, pallets of raw paint pigments, and finished toxic solvent coatings safely across the site
• Loading and unloading- offload incoming chemicals shipments from delivery HGVs and load finished products onto outgoing transport vehicles safely
• Bulk stacking- use FLT to stack and organize high-density paint inventories into specialized racking systems, ensuring load stability
• Equipment safety checks- conduct daily inspections on the FLT to detect hydraulic leaks or mechanical faults, ensuring the vehicle is fully safe for explosive atmosphere
Warehouse Operations:
• Order picking and packing- accurately pick products and materials from warehouse shelves based on pick sheets, ensuring they are packed securely according to transport safety standards
• Material segregation- organize stock according to safety guidelines to ensure proper separation of different material categories
• Waste management- collect and transport warehouse waste streams to designated containment zones in accordance with site safety procedures
• Inventory control- conduct regular stock takes, verify batch codes, and update inventory logs to ensure accurate tracking of all materials
• Safety and incident response- follow established emergency protocols and use provided safety equipment to manage any leaks or spills, ensuring environmental and site protection
As a Counterbalance FLT Operator you will require:
• FLT licence- valid Counterbalance FLT certificate accredited by an approved body (e.g- RTITB or ITSSAR)
• Workplace safety awareness- knowledge of health and safety guidelines, including COSHH, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and hazard symbols
• Warehouse experience- proven experience in picking, packing, and inventory management within an industrial warehouse environment
• Attention to detail- ability to accurately track inventory batch codes and maintain precise records
• Emergency competency- familiarity with the use of safety equipment such as spill kits and fire extinguishers
