At On Demand Counseling , we believe recovery and mental wellness are possible for everyone. Our counselors provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges while working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
Locations: We are currently hiring for our Austintown, Newton Falls and E. Liverpool locations.
Competitive Wages: Based on license and relevant experience.
Position Summary: The Counselor provides individual and group counseling and related clinical services to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns. This role conducts assessments, develops individualized treatment plans, provides crisis support, and coordinates care with internal and community providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group counseling services consistent with the counselor’s education, license, and scope of practice.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with each client’s needs and recovery goals.
• Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Provide crisis intervention and use appropriate de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Coordinate referrals to community resources, healthcare providers, and higher levels of care.
• Collaborate with courts, schools, treatment providers, and other stakeholders when authorized and appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and other required clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment-team meetings, case consultation, and care-coordination activities.
• Protect client confidentiality and comply with organizational, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• Education : Associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in counseling, social work, or a related behavioral-health field, as required for the applicable license.
• Licensure: Active Ohio license in good standing as an LCDC II/III, LPC/LSW OR LISW-S, LPCC-S
• Experience : At least one year of relevant mental health and/or substance use counseling experience preferred. Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions is a plus.
• Skills :
• Strong therapeutic, crisis-intervention, and interpersonal skills.
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization, judgment, dependability, and respect for confidentiality.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
