Using your expertise, you'll analyze production costs, identify opportunities for improvement, and help implement solutions that make a measurable difference. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll transform data into actionable insights that drive profitability across the Valmetal Group. 2026-07-20 12:00:00 a.m. Valmetal Duties and responsibilities • Evaluate production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to determine product cost. • Participate in the implementation of our perpetual inventory project. • Establish standard costs across all our business entities and ensure ongoing maintenance. • Analyze variances between actual and standard costs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. • Prepare detailed reports on product costs, profit margins, and financial performance for management. • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and inventory management teams to optimize processes and reduce costs. • Participate in developing and implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability. • Coordinate annual physical inventory counts and cycle counts with the controllers. • Monitor inventory levels and identify any discrepancies or potential risks. • Actively participate in month-end inventory closing activities, budgeting, and planning reports. • Play a key role in improving our pricing processes and annual price review. Your profile • Strong ability to structure, analyze, and interpret data in an operational and decision-making context. • Proficiency with accounting software and financial analysis tools such as Excel. • Excellent attention to detail. • Strong teamwork and communication skills. • Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, to communicate with colleagues in our U.S. divisions (40–60% of communications). • Availability to travel regularly between our Saint-Germain-de-Grantham and Saint-François-Xavier-de-Brompton facilities, with occasional travel to our other locations. Qualifications • College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in Accounting. • Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
