Citizens is seeking a Managing Director to join the Corporate Finance of our Capital Markets & Advisory team (“CM&A”). We unlock value for our clients through our expertise in sell-side & buy-side advisory, capital raising, restructuring & bankruptcy and financial opinions.The Corporate Finance Managing Director would come in with established Corporate and Financial Sponsor relationships within FIG sector to help facilitate strategic dialogue with existing and new bank customers. You would serve as the primary architect of client discussions and presentations, alongside Citizens Capital Markets product colleagues, while managing the origination and execution of debt, M&A, and equity transactions. This is an attractive opportunity for a senior banker looking for more autonomy, career advancement, and to be a key contributor within a rising, fast-paced group.Key Responsibilities:Architect strategic ideas, research industry notes and trends to present to clients as well as internal risk management.Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level of Financial Institutions clientsCollaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial BankersHelp prepare and present offering materials to potential investors and rating agencies, negotiate critical structural elements with client and investorsAttend industry related conventions and conferences, to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trendsLiaise with risk management to ensure that appropriate credit and market risks are identified and addressedMaintain effective license to operate by sustaining a high level of trust and confidence by senior line and risk managementDesired Profile:Demonstrated, long-term client relationshipsMinimum 10+ years’ experience in Investment Banking and/or Capital Markets with a top ranked investment bank or commercial bankProven experience working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets, and leading M&A mandatesEffective verbal and written communication and influencing skillsHighly organized with ability to multi-taskStrong credit acumen with superior market risk knowledgeBachelor’s degree from an accredited universityMaster’s degree preferred, but not requiredSeries 79 & 63 licenses.Compensation Range: $300k BaseIs this job not quite the right fit?
