COO- Suffolk County, NY or Stamford, CT A rapidly evolving aerospace and industrial distribution organization is seeking a highly strategic, data-driven operational leader to serve as a key partner and "right hand" to the CEO during a significant period of modernization, operational transformation, and growth. This is not a traditional operations role. This position will function as a strategic operational partner to the CEO - helping translate vision into execution while building scalable infrastructure, improving accountability, leveraging AI-enabled business tools, and driving operational intelligence across the organization. The ideal candidate is someone who is: • highly analytical and data-driven • extremely proficient with modern AI technologies, specifically Claude • deeply experienced in NetSuite and operational systems • capable of identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions • able to operate strategically while remaining highly hands-on • naturally curious, process-oriented, and execution-focused • excited by growth, modernization, and building scalable organizations Key Responsibilities • Act as a direct strategic and operational partner to the CEO across company initiatives • Build data-driven operational visibility through dashboards, reporting infrastructure, KPI management, and business intelligence tools • Optimize and enhance NetSuite functionality, reporting, workflows, and operational processes • Leverage AI technologies, including Claude, to improve operational analysis, workflow management, communication, reporting, documentation, and organizational efficiency • Help implement scalable operational systems that support company growth and future expansion
