The Role We're looking for an experienced Contract Product Manager to join a major digital transformation programme within the UK energy sector. This role spans two key product areas: Supporting digital products and customer journeys associated with the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) . Driving improvements across customer service platforms and digital capabilities to deliver more seamless, efficient customer experiences. Working alongside Engineering, Design, Data and business stakeholders, you'll define product strategy, prioritise delivery and ensure products deliver measurable value for customers, operational teams and the wider business. This is a fully remote contract open to candidates anywhere in the UK. Key Responsibilities Define and deliver product vision, strategy and roadmaps aligned to business objectives. Lead product delivery across both Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) and customer service transformation initiatives. Improve customer journeys across digital and customer service channels. Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring delivery teams remain focused on the highest-value outcomes. Translate customer and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria. Work collaboratively with Engineering, Architecture, Design and Data teams to deliver scalable digital products. Analyse customer, operational and commercial data to inform prioritisation and product decisions. Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Regulatory, Commercial and Technology teams. Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives. Continuously measure product performance using KPIs, customer insights and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement. Balance customer needs, commercial priorities and technical constraints to maximise product value. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Product Manager delivering digital products within Agile environments. Strong experience within the UK Energy or Utilities sector (essential). Good understanding of UK energy industry processes, customer journeys and market operations. Familiarity with technologies and concepts such as DCC, smart metering, metering infrastructure, adaptors and energy data flows. Experience developing product roadmaps and managing complex product backlogs. Experience using customer insights and data to drive product strategy and prioritisation. Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams. Experience working closely with Engineering, Design and Data throughout the product lifecycle. Strong customer-centric mindset with experience in product discovery and problem definition.
