CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Consultancy Service Short term service “Technical Specialist in Renewable Energy” (REF: WUSC/BOL/TS/003-26) Contracting entity: World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Client: Global Affairs Canadá (GAC) Type of service : Service as a consulting position that does not require full-time dedication, but does require flexible hours, and it is based on a pool of days to be paid throughout the service period according to documented monthly demand. Billing method : Daily fee rate expressed in local currency (Bs./Bolivianos) that integrates legal taxes. Professional experience • Minimum 7 years of experience in the energy sector in Bolivia, with expertise in the renewable energy, energy transition, or sustainable infrastructure subsectors. • Experience in preparing sector assessments, market studies, or investment analyses. • Experience in collaborating and coordinating with governments, international financial institutions, development agencies, multilateral organizations, or private sector stakeholders. • Experience in supporting international investors, foreign companies, or trade promotion initiatives is a plus. Knowledge and expertise • Extensive network of contacts within Bolivia's energy ecosystem. • Broad knowledge of renewable energy technologies and markets. • Proven expertise in investment promotion, private sector engagement, and market development. • Understanding of Bolivia's energy sector, regulatory framework, and investment climate. • Ability to assess commercial viability and market opportunities. • Knowledge of Canadian clean energy and renewable energy industries. • Knowledge of climate finance mechanisms and sustainable infrastructure financing. • Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
