You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience that goes beyond textbooks and lectures. Your journey begins by assisting the Project Super, a mentor who will guide you through the intricacies of the construction business. As a construction laborer on a multi-family ground-up project you will assist the Project Super at the construction site. You will be responsible for a number of on-site tasks, such as removing debris, loading and unloading building materials, and assisting with other tasks as assigned by the Site Super. Responsibilities: • Site Preparation: Construction laborers help prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers to ensure a safe and organized work environment. • Material Handling: They may load and unload construction materials and equipment, transport materials to the work area, and distribute materials to the appropriate locations on the site. • Operating Equipment: As a laborer you will be trained to operate machinery and tools, such as forklifts,heaters and generators and transits as well as tools such as jackhammers, sawzall and cameras. • Safety: Ensuring safety on the construction site is a vital responsibility. Construction laborers follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment to minimize the risk of accidents • Cleanup: They clean and maintain the work area, disposing of waste materials and ensuring that the site remains orderly and safe. • Communication: Good communication skills are essential for coordinating with other team members and supervisors, as well as following instructions.
