Job Description: Overview We are seeking an experienced C1 Grab Driver to join our construction and waste management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Grab Lorry , carrying out material deliveries, collections, and site support across various construction projects. Key Responsibilities • Operate a C1 category Grab Lorry (HIAB/Clamshell) in compliance with road safety and company standards. • Load and unload construction materials, aggregates, and waste using the hydraulic grab arm. • Deliver materials to and from construction sites, suppliers, and depots safely and on schedule. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete daily walkaround checks, reporting any defects. • Adhere to all health & safety, environmental, and transport regulations. • Assist site teams with material handling or groundworks as required. • Maintain accurate delivery and collection records (tickets, manifests, etc.). • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and customers. Requirements • Valid C1 Driving Licence • Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card . • HIAB / Grab (Lorry Loader) Certification (essential). • Proven experience operating grab lorries or similar plant in a construction environment. • Good understanding of road safety, load security, and manual handling. • Strong work ethic with attention to safety and detail. • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or overtime if required. • Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates. • Experience delivering to live construction sites. • Basic mechanical or vehicle maintenance knowledge.
