An IT operations role focused on configuring, imaging, and deploying computing infrastructure. The Configuration Technician is responsible for preparing laptops, desktops, and server systems for organizational use, including OS installation, software deployment, and quality assurance prior to release to end users. What You'll Do • Configure, image, and deploy laptops, desktops, and server systems according to organizational standards • Install and configure operating systems including Windows and Linux • Perform system imaging using deployment platforms such as SCCM or MDT • Conduct hardware and software diagnostics to verify proper functionality before deployment • Maintain accurate records of system configurations, asset tags, and hardware details • Troubleshoot configuration and imaging issues and escalate when necessary • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection policies • Support inventory management including receiving, staging, and tracking IT equipment What You Need • Experience with operating system installation and configuration on Windows and Linux • Proficiency with system imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM, MDT, or similar platforms • Knowledge of hardware and software diagnostics methodologies • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality guidelines • Understanding of cybersecurity and data protection compliance requirements
