Description
To strengthen our Supply Chain Team we are looking for a Configuration & Logistics Officer who ensures that for a given engine, the pieces are made available for assembly within the configuration and timeframe agreed with the customer. Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem & Steenokkerzeel, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. With more than 75 years of experience, and up to 20 international Part 145 certifications (EASA/ FAA/ CAAC/ …), Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is recognized as a worldwide center of expertise in the air transport industry. More than a 100 airlines, lessors, private aircraft operators and MRO partners have entrusted their engines to our company. We employ over 500 highly skilled, passionate and enthusiastic employees. Your role: You will analyse and provide the logistical needs to complete the engine. You read and understand the logistical aspects of the Bill of Work for the engine. You detect critical points in the completion process and look for an appropriate solution to achieve the objectives (e.g. Standard Exchanges, switches between different engines). You direct your internal suppliers (warehouse, backshop, subcontracting, purchasing). You complete the modules and ensure that they are prepared according to the predetermined production planning. You support the assembly line with missing and/or defective parts. You analyse the interchangeability (technical and qualitative) of pieces, in accordance with the established configuration. Your profile: You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a technical direction, or equivalent through experience. You have an interest in aircraft engines and want to learn more about them. You are communicative and dare to ask questions. You work in a structured, accurate and proactive way. You work analytically and come up with practical solutions. You organize, divide and control your work independently. You speak French or Dutch, you also have a good knowledge of technical English. Experience with SAP is a plus. You work in shifts, from Monday to Friday (6 am - 2 pm, 2 pm - 10 pm). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Belgium, holding either an EU passport or a valid work & residence permit.
