What we’re looking for Yapily is looking for a dynamic and personable Compliance and Risk Manager who can help develop a resilient regulatory framework as the business looks to scale and grow. This role is about turning complex regulatory requirements and risk mitigations into scalable frameworks. You are a subject matter expert, experienced in navigating regulatory compliance and designing risk management solutions for financial services products in a fast-moving environment. Learn more: https://www.yapily.com/company/about-us Requirements Key Tasks … The key individual will work to deliver in the business the following: Operationalize Regulatory Frameworks: Translate complex regional financial regulations (including PSD2/PSD3, AMLD, DORA, and Bank of Lithuania mandates) into actionable, scalable compliance policies and day-to-day business controls. Lead Regulatory Horizon Scanning: Manage the operational compliance architecture required to provide regulated payment services across Europe, while proactively tracking and mitigating future regulatory changes. Embed Product Compliance & Risk Controls: Partner closely with Product and Tech teams as an internal subject matter expert to build automated, "compliant-by-design" risk controls into new open banking product features. Drive Testing and Assurance Programs: Establish a routine program for compliance monitoring, risk gap analysis, and stress testing to ensure full business continuity, operational resilience, and audit readiness. Harmonize UK & European Operations: Provide strategic compliance guidance to the Global Head of Compliance across Yapily’s regional entities, ensuring seamless operational alignment between UK (FCA) and European regulatory environments. Partner with Compliance & Financial Crime Leadership: Work closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Global Head of Compliance to escalate critical risks, deliver regulatory reporting, and execute the company’s broader risk appetite strategy. Scale the Compliance & Financial Crime Program: In cooperation with the MLRO and Global Head of Compliance, build, implement, and continuously mature a scalable, risk-based compliance and financial crime framework designed to safely support sustainable growth. Execute the Risk Officer Function: Own and maintain the local Risk Management Framework, ensuring regular reporting aligns with the defined risk appetite.
