Working closely with teams across Product, Technology, Legal and Operations, we balance innovation with regulatory excellence to deliver positive outcomes for our customers, merchants and business. As Compliance Advisory Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting Zip's regulatory obligations across Australia. Working alongside the Compliance Advisory team, you'll provide practical, commercially balanced advice, strengthen compliance frameworks and help ensure regulatory requirements are understood, implemented and maintained across the business. What you'll own Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide practical compliance advice on regulatory obligations, including the Australian Credit Licence, Australian Financial Services Licence, Design and Distribution Obligations, privacy requirements and applicable industry codes. Provide guidance on appropriate controls that support compliance with regulatory obligations while enabling positive customer and commercial outcomes. Support the ongoing operation and continuous improvement of Zip's Compliance Program, ensuring compliance obligations are effectively managed and monitored. Assist with breach reporting activities, including assessment, investigation, reporting and ongoing monitoring. Prepare compliance reporting, governance insights and regulatory submissions for management and governance forums. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of compliance frameworks, policies and procedures. Monitor regulatory developments across Australia and New Zealand, assess business impacts and support the implementation of regulatory change initiatives. Develop and deliver compliance education and awareness activities that strengthen understanding of regulatory obligations across the business. Build trusted relationships across Legal, Risk, Product, Technology and Operational teams to provide practical and commercially balanced compliance advice. Support engagement with regulators and external stakeholders, working closely with the Director, Compliance Advisory on regulatory matters. Typically 5+ years' experience in compliance, risk, legal or a related discipline within financial services, fintech or another regulated industry. A sound understanding of the regulatory frameworks applicable to consumer credit and financial services, including Australian Credit Licence, Australian Financial Services Licence, Design and Distribution Obligations and privacy requirements. Experience providing practical compliance advice and supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks and regulatory change initiatives. Experience preparing governance reporting, compliance insights and regulatory submissions. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide commercially balanced advice. Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
