Job Title: Community District Nurse – Bromley Area Specialty : Community District Nursing Band / Grade : Band 5 Location: Bromley (Beckenham, Hayes, Chislehurst & Orpington) Salary (PAYE Only): Day shifts: £18.55 per hour Nights & Saturdays: £23.19 per hour Sundays & Bank Holidays: £27.05 per hour Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Community District Nurse to join a well-established community service covering the Bromley area, including Hayes, Orpington, Beckenham, and Five Elms. This locum role requires flexibility to work across all four bases: Beckenham Hayes Chislehurst Orpington Candidates must be willing to work at any of the above sites and move between bases if required. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care within patients’ homes, completing initial assessments and reassessments, and supporting patients to remain independent within the community. Mandatory Clinical Skills Required: Female, Male & Suprapubic Catheterisation Insulin Administration Enoxaparin Administration IM & Subcutaneous Injections Removal of Sutures/Clips Bowel Care including suppositories, enemas & DRE Compression Bandaging (including K2 & Actico) Pressure Ulcer & Complex Wound Care PICC Line Management Enteral Care including medication administration, flushes & feeds All elements of McKinley Syringe Driver care IV Therapy including infusion & bolus Competent to administer and transcribe medication Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, you must have: Valid NMC registration Previous Community/District Nursing experience NHS Smartcard Own vehicle with business insurance Ability to complete patient initial assessments and reassessments independently Why work with Athona?
