Associate / Senior Associate – Commercial Real Estate Edinburgh | Hybrid Working An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Associate (6+ PQE) to join a highly regarded and growing Edinburgh-based real estate team. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile development transactions across Scotland, advising a strong client base that includes residential developers, housing associations, landowners, care home operators and investors. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting residential-led development projects that contribute to addressing Scotland’s housing needs. The Opportunity You will join a collaborative and supportive team with a strong market reputation in commercial real estate and development work. The position offers genuine scope for progression alongside exposure to sophisticated transactions and direct client engagement. Key Responsibilities • Managing a broad range of commercial real estate transactions • Leading land acquisition and disposal deals for private developers and public sector clients • Advising on greenfield and brownfield developments, turnkey and golden brick transactions • Drafting and negotiating development-related agreements including: • Promotion Agreements • Option Agreements • Joint Venture Agreements • Preparing Deeds of Conditions and DMS documentation for new developments • Supporting corporate transactions through property due diligence work • Assisting with supervision and development of junior team members About You The ideal candidate will have: • A minimum of 6 years’ PQE within commercial real estate • Strong technical knowledge of Scottish property law • Experience handling transactions from instruction to completion • A commercial and proactive approach to client work • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills • Experience in development, investment, asset management and/or corporate support work • Strong client relationship management skills What’s on Offer • High-quality and varied commercial real estate work • Clear career progression opportunities • Supportive and collaborative team culture • Competitive salary and benefits package • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements • Ongoing professional development opportunities For a confidential discussion or to learn more about this opportunity, please get in touch with Jill Cowan on 07931 811 330 or email [email protected]
