The role:
The Marketing manager is responsible for the marketing of a specific area of events, delivering integrated marketing strategies that drive ticket sales, maximise revenue and build long-term audience engagement. You’ll report into a Director of Marketing for this specific team, part of the broader marketing department, and will be supported by junior team member,
You’ll be responsible for achieving ticket revenue and visitor targets across multiple attractions, using customer insight, trading performance and market intelligence to optimise campaigns through the sales cycle. Working closely with operational, commercial and external partners you’ll continually review performance, identify opportunities to improve yield and respond dynamically to changing marketing conditions. You’ll be managing multiple campaigns simultaneously and the role will involve leading campaign planning from launch through to closure.
Naturally, commercial performance is going to be a key part of this role so you’ll take ownership of this area for your events, holding responsibility for delivering agreed ticket revenue, visitor volume and marketing ROI, monitoring trading performance and identifying commercial risks as well as opportunities, intervening in a timely matter to maximise sales throughout the event lifecycle.
You’ll develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that generate demand and drive conversation across paid, owned and earned channels, working with specialist teams across CRM, Digital, PR, Studio and Consumer Insight. You’ll develop audience strategies that maximise customer acquisition, repeat visitation and lifetime value by using CRM, segmentation and customer insight to build highly targeted campaigns.
You’ll be providing day to day leadership of Marketing Executives as well as building trusted relationships with intellectual property partners, agencies, ticketing providers as well as internal stakeholders.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a marketer with significant experience delivering commercially focused B2C marketing campaigns within attractions, leisure, entertainment, tourism or live events and you’ll have demonstrable success in driving ticket sales, visitor growth and commercial performance through integrated marketing. You’ll have a strong understanding of revenue management, campaign optimisation and marketing performance reporting, as well as experience working with CRM, customer insight, digital marketing and performance analytics.
You’ll be an excellent project manager with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and competing priorities simultaneously. Previous people management experience would also be a real advantage.
