Requirements:
• Trade certification required.
• OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
• 4-5 years of hands-on service experience in HVAC or a related mechanical service environment.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills across a range of HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Experience working in a customer-facing field service role with professional communication and sound time management.
• Ability to take direction, manage priorities, and consistently meet service expectations and deadlines.
• A team-first attitude, strong attention to detail, and pride in producing quality work.
• Ability to mentor apprentices and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Chiller and cooling tower experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, air handling, hydronic, and boiler systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues in the field and complete safe, high-quality repairs with minimal supervision.
• Start up equipment, test for leaks, recharge refrigerant, calibrate controls, and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Repair or replace components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors.
• Measure, cut, and connect piping using appropriate brazing and welding methods when required.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications to support service work, repairs, and installation activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch to support scheduling, service updates, and field coordination.
• Deliver professional customer support during service calls and dispatches while representing the company well on site.
• Prepare accurate service notes, documentation, and client-facing estimates when needed.
• Support apprentice development by sharing knowledge, coaching on best practices, and leading by example.
• Assist with specialty refrigeration or related equipment assignments when applicable.
• Follow safety expectations and maintain compliance with confined space, lift, and related job-site requirements.
