Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a skilled CNC Sliding Head Setter/Operator for a client based in Aston. This full-time position offers a salary between £16.00 and £18.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 16:45, and Friday, 07:00 to 15:00. The role involves setting and operating CNC sliding head machines to manufacture precision components to exact specifications. Key duties include reading engineering drawings, conducting in-process inspections using measuring equipment, making offsets and minor program adjustments, and maintaining a safe, organised workspace. Applicants must have proven experience in a similar setting, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet production targets. Produce precision components to specification and quality standards. Read and interpret engineering drawings. Carry out in-process inspections using measuring equipment. Make offsets and minor program adjustments where required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently met. Requirements Previous experience setting and operating CNC sliding head machines. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience using precision measuring equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
