The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
• Write, edit, and maintain CNC programs for production
• Collaborate with operators to improve programs and resolve machining issues
• Manage tooling systems, including inventory, tracking, and ordering
• Ensure programs produce parts that meet required tolerances and quality standards
• Support first article runs and work closely with QA and production teams
• Monitor machining processes and optimize tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Assist with machine installations, commissioning, and process improvements
• Maintain CNC program backups and documentation
• Train and support CNC operators as needed

You’ll work with equipment and software such as:
• CAD/CAM: Siemens NX, Surfcam
• Environment: Heavy manufacturing / large component machining
• Programming Focus: CNC program creation, optimization, and process improvement

Materials You’ll Work With
• Heavy industrial materials (railway components, steel-based applications)

What We’re Looking For
Required:
• 5+ years of CNC programming and/or machining experience
• Strong CAD/CAM experience (NX preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience creating and modifying CAD models
• Solid understanding of tooling, machining processes, and optimization
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environments
• Surfcam experience
• Experience supporting operators and shop floor processes
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
